strange day....

warm outside, considering, but stomach very tight, not taking anything in at the moment---second day without work---slight readjustment problems---this weekend many things to see, on saturday, could either see a work in progress play about Nina Simone, or Singapore Mikado---wow, there is a choice contrast.
Yesterday night, went to see (in the snow) a performance of Rocket to the Moon, by Clifford Odets---I am a real Odets nut, wanted to like it, my friend Ned E had central character role and was very good, rest of cast with a few exceptions all seemed on one note---director's fault, probably, this morning fantasized my own first meeting with a cast if I was directing that play. Would want them to go for the jugular, this is a play with three sexual predators. Anyway, saw Ned afterwards, he was as usual, very warm and appreciative, praised him (her really deserved it) but kept my criticisms to myself. Have to remember that many other theater goers and professionals don't need the authentic vision of Odets that I do. So where does that leave me...?
Not sure about this evening, heavy snow is forcasted---also for tomorrow----should find one or two books that I really want to read---that book of "best" short stories of 2014, is really disappointing me.
That's about all for now, see how the day pans out.....
