Third week...

day of vacation, finally settling into a pace and outlook totally different from the one when Friends is in session.
Yesterday evening, after 2.5 tutoring sessions, city, as you know, got very cold and windy. Had planned to visit Merlin at South Fourth, make my "triumphant" return there. But cold made a movie more palatable, however times were awkward for the movies (or movie) that I considered seeing, so went to Brooklyn and braved the cold, anyway. Actually, no real problem, did not need a taxi or bus to get from L to the coffee-bar. Merlin very welcoming, spent most of the time there chatting with a friend of his, Liz, who had been to HERE to see the play Merlin was in on Saturday, and remembered me.A few other conversations before I went home, glad I made the trip, probably the best choice.
Tonight, after second session, may head to Park Slope to participate in FUREE games, something new for them. Could get there by 7:30, they close at 9. Then maybe back to Freddy's, though not much communication there, or check out another fifth avenue bar, preferably one with a TV.
Rest of week, Friday at Bushwick, still have to determine when to see Paint Your Wagon at City Center, and Rachel's play at Ars Nova as well. Not much else, apartment being cleaned today (much needed) and then of to 145th and Amsterdam...will see what happens...
