alludes to that. Otherwise a pretty good day, or week, though because no tutoring, some slow spots.
Last night, went to see Howard Barker's The Castle, directed by my old friend, Richard Romagnlola.
Very strong work---particularly impressed by the woman who played Skinner, an understudy, yet she was totally committed to and believable in the role.I like Barker's writing, at least in this play, it takes risks, tough, acerbic---afterwards said Hi to Jennifer---always good to see her, we rode back together on the subway, asked her about her nephew, who was at Friends for two years---apparently he is doing very well, and about Lynne, whom I knew when I read plays for American Playhouse. Invigorating conversation.
Monday, somewhat tired, spent the evening watching baseball at Lansdown Falls; I like that place, the wait staff very courteous. Surprised no one mentioned the performance last night at Potomac--was sure that someone would talk about Jan Maxwell's absence.
Today, first day there seems to be a really nice breeze in the air---may see Loves' labors Lost tonight, other options, going to La Flaca and watching the improving New York Mets, or heading to South Fourth and hanging with that group. Three days to Baltimore trip.
